The bucket of excavator is connected with the stick and connecting rod through the stick quick hitch pin and connecting rod tractor linch pin. The bucket lower link pin is used to secure the bucket to the excavator. The pin and bushing are usually replaced together. Remove the pin first and then replace the bushing. Because over time, they wear out together. Then how to replace the excavator bucket pin and bushing? Follow this article to get the answer.
Replacement of the tractor pin
First, all the tractor pins linch pins will be fixed in place, but different machines will be fixed in different ways. It is usually quite easy to remove the tractor implement pins when they are at the bucket end of the machine, but when you move the bucket arm further up and through the boom to the main post, you need to start making sure that the forearm is well supported before you start removing the top link pins. If the boom is disassembled to replace the main column bushing, it is usually necessary to use the sling on the bridge crane or forklift to assist in the disassembly and repositioning of the boom.
Remove old bushing
In the process of removal, the old bushing will be worn. Therefore, do not care about the wear of the old bushing, the key is to maintain the integrity of the bucket chain excavator arm.
1) Striking with a hammer. In small excavators, a good hammer is enough, especially in the case of serious bush wear. 2) Welding. Welding around the radius of bushing is suitable for larger bushing. When the welding is cooled, it will make the bushing fully shrink, making it easy to remove. 3) The third method uses the tools needed by the first two at the same time. Weld a short rod (even a large weld) to the bushing so that you can put a rod through the bushing and knock it out. 4) Cutting. Using oxyacetylene welding torch or similar tools, a groove can be cut on the bush wall to make the bush shrink and easy to disassemble. 5) Hydraulic press. This may be the safest option, but some sites may not have hydraulic presses, which need to be purchased or rented separately.
Install the replacement bushing
After removing the old bushing from the carrier roller excavator arm, the next step is to install the replacement bushing. We have different ways to install the bushing.
1) Striking. It should be noted that the compact bucket wheel excavator bushing may crack easily when hammering. 2) Heating. This is quite effective if you can get the heat source close enough to where you want to replace the bushing. 3) Cooling. The effective working principle is the opposite of the above method, but it is not heating the shell (making it expand), but cooling the bush which makes it shrink. 4) Hydraulic press. This also requires professional equipment to complete, but it is a safe and effective way to install the bushing.
